Call for nominations: Leadership Team Chair

The Global Partnership for Zero Leprosy (GPZL) facilitates alignment of the leprosy community and accelerates effective collaborative action toward the goal of zero leprosy: zero transmission, zero leprosy disease, zero new disability, and zero stigma and discrimination. The Partnership’s work is focused in three areas: accelerating research, working with country programs, and increasing advocacy and resource mobilization.

GPZL is led by its Leadership Team, which reflects the diversity of stakeholders engaged in leprosy prevention and control. It includes representatives from the founding partners, along with National Leprosy Programs, organizations of persons affected by leprosy, and other stakeholders. The Leadership Team normally meets twice per year in person, with virtual meetings in between.

There is currently a vacancy for Chair of the Leadership Team. The Chair should be an internationally respected person in public health who will serve on the Leadership Team in a personal capacity, not as a representative of an organization. The Chair should have significant leadership and governance experience, including as chair. Ideally, the Chair should have a track record of involvement in multi-stakeholder organizations such as partnerships or coalitions, with proven capability of bringing diverse perspectives together in the interests of a common purpose.

Persons interested in this role may be nominated or may self-nominate. To apply, send your resume/CV and cover letter to [email protected] by 28 November 2023.
