While it is not required that he/she is a programme manager (or occupies a similar coordinating role), he/she should have experience and influence in leprosy programming at the national level. Geographic and gender representation, as well as representation from countries with high burdens of leprosy, are considered when selecting NLP representatives. Candidates will be reviewed and voted upon by the Leadership Team. The NLP representatives serve on the LT for a two-year term, renewable once, and support working groups.

This representative is well-connected in the global health field and has experience with disease elimination partnerships and/or experience working with NTDs. Candidates will be reviewed and voted upon by the Leadership Team (LT). The global health representative serves on the LT for a two-year term, renewable once, and supports working groups.
