Statement from Alice Cruz, UN Special Rapporteur on Elimination of Discrimination against Persons Affected by Leprosy at the Conclusion of Mission to Japan

United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Persons Affected by Leprosy and their Family Members, Alice Cruz, concluded her mission to Japan on 19 February 2020. Her mandate, while in the country, was to monitor and promote the implementation of the Principles and Guidelines for the Elimination of Discrimination Against Persons Affected by Leprosy and their Family Members, approved by the General Assembly in 2010.
