Prevention

This theme focuses on recent exciting developments in prevention of leprosy and the interruption of transmission of the disease, how to identify people at risk of leprosy, and how to prevent the disease in a population. The practices under this theme explain how best PEP can be implemented in a country, and are structured around three phases: preparation, implementation and evaluation. Some tools may give examples of guidelines and training modules or explain how to map index patients and do counseling. Others may give guidance on evaluation or cost-effectiveness.
